The rare and unique Wild Pontas Honey is made by the Apis Millifera Bees aka Pontas Bees.
They are rather very shy and small bees who build their hives inside the holes of the trunks and caves of large trees, which makes it difficult to collect.
So, it s sparingly available and seasonal too.
These honey bees are inhabitants of the forests and mountains of the Western Ghats range.
With significant medicinal value, this is mostly a fragrant honey which has a great taste and retains the rich aromatic smell and flavour of the flowers from which the nectar is collected.
